Baxters of Orford

Orford
Orford is a coastal town and former port, twelve miles east of Woodbridge. Orford Castle was built between 1165 and 1173, it is a unique polygon building of eighteen sides, standing on the summit of a hill. The church is dedicated to St Bartholomew and was built at about the same time as the castle. The parish registers date back to 1538.

I can not find a birth for a Jemima Elizabeth Baxter in the 1840s. Jemima’s brother Richard had a daughter Jemima Elizabeth (1870 – 1870) named after her.
