Baxters of Ashbocking

Ashbocking
Ashbocking is a small village, 7 miles north of Ipswich and 6 miles east of Needham Market and about 7 miles west of Wickham Market. The Church is dedicated to All Saints and the registers date back to 1555. A church at Ashbocking was mentioned in the Doomsday book, the present chancel was built in the thirteenth century, the Nave in the following century, thought to be by John de Bocking.
